The frustration that led to the creation of GetMyDetails began way before COVID but it was the first travel experiences during COVID that turned frustration into code. From airline advanced passenger information, departure health certificates, test results, arrival declarations, the same data collected again, and again, and again. I have always felt that computers should be here to make our lives better, to serve us. But often as consumers we feel like an afterthought. Web portals are often released in the "it is possible" state rather than the "it is easy and efficient" state. I cannot fix that, but I can help us, the consumer, fight back.
GetMyDetails will revolutionise the way we interact with the businesses. That is part 2. For now, part 1, we provide you with a central place to store all your important information that you need on a regular basis. Once it is setup, we help you share it with your friends and family and keep it updated. We help you enter it in web forms, apps, documents and emails. I literally use GetMyDetails every day.
