By default your data is just stored on your phone. We don’t keep a copy of it on our server unless you create an account.

Your data is encrypted using TODO technology.  When it is transmitted across between yourself and other users of the app, it is encrypted using TODO technology. Even if someone could intercept the communication, they could not understand it. The technology we use is at least as good as the technology used between your online banking app and your bank.

Yes, you can backup your GetMyDetails information using the usual iCloud or Android backup tools. The information in the backup is encrypted and can only be read by GetMyDetails.

You can.  It is encrypted, we cannot read it. This allows you to log in from multiple devices, or because you’d like us to keep a backup for you. But there is no need to do this unless you want to. The app works fine without it.

No. You can use all of the features of GetMyDetails without making an account. When we were designing GetMyDetails we decided our biggest nightmare would be being responsible for one huge database with everyone’s personal information on it, so we decided not to.

The information you have stored in our app will be part of your iCloud backup (confirm). So it is possible to restore it. But someone else can only access your information if they can unlock your phone. Your GetMyDetails information can be further protected by using FaceID or fingerprint protection if your phone has it.

The backup cannot be read by anyone.
